Last time we posted a new remix from our friend TGIK we also posted a couple of remixes from Chicago's Midnight Conspiracy. Just so happens we got brand new remixes from TGIK and Midnight Conspiracy on the same day...AGAIN! Although linked by blogging, the remixes couldn't be any different. TGIK takes on Chicago/New York based spacey indie rockers Breakfast of Champions and their sort of glo-fi meets pop track "Bon Voyage". As usual, he turns out a great romantic rework that gives the original a run for it's money and could easily stand on it's own. On the flip side Midnight Conspiracy turns Crystal Castles'"Crimewave" into an Italo-tinged, disco dancing good time and manages to make a song I kind of never wanted to hear again sound fresh. It also happens to be an official remix for Crystal Castles' upcoming HARD tour.
Maybe I'm a bit biased, but I think both TGIK and Midnight Conspiracy are putting out some of the best remixes Chicago has to offer. So you'll probably be hearing a lot more from them here -and everywhere else- in the future.
